Blurb

The Hive has begun its operations and is now hunting for the mirror shards. The Tribe sets off to Green Land to find the third shard on their list but find themselves sidetracked. Not only will they run into new friends and foes, but they will also meet a few familiar faces, one of which Holly thought she had defeated. However, while our heroes travel around, fighting the Hive, another group seems to have intentions that are not that of the Hive.

Prologue

A girl stood in the rain. Her black hair was ragged and puffed. Blood seeped down her face, coming from her nose, mouth, her eye sockets oozed with the same fresh liquid. Eight figures stood on broken cement pillars and watched as a masked figure approached her.

White fire erupted out of rusted, broken pipes all around the area. “So this is the best you can do against me? I thought you were stronger than that Holly,” the masked figure said in a calm voice.

Holly coughed blood up. Her green eyes stared into the eyes of the masked person. The eyes were cold brown. Rain poured onto the battle field, “This isn’t over... you’re plans will fail Cylux... Amanda will stop you-”

“I’m afraid not even she will be able to defeat me Holly, so you might as well give up. You had your chance to stop this back in the time of the first war but you didn’t... you’ve always been too soft and would always think that peace would just happen but it can’t just happen... peace requires hard work and that, my friend, is what my little group is trying to work for.”

Cylux grabbed his mask, “I pity you, Holly.” He began, slowly removing the mask. Holly’s left eye had been cut, so she could only see with her right eye. Her eye widened as she saw it, his identity.

The masked figure sat on the rocky ledge of a cliff. Ivy approached him slowly, “Well Cylux?” Rain began to downpour. Lightning occasionally flashed in the sky, “It has already been determined... the paths of destiny have put me against her to win. I have nothing to fear so long as I am cautious.”

Cylux put his hands together and instantly, his six Shadows appeared behind him with a blast of wind. Their eyes were blank, lifeless for only a few seconds. The eyes then lit up with the eyes as Cylux.

“Be careful not to overuse them, I don’t want you to overdo it.” “Relax Ivy... the Shadows will continue to be used the same way... though I have upgraded the mirror clone’s capabilities a bit more due to its defeat against Katherine.”

Cylux jumped to his feet. He wore a robe that was white on the outside with a strange logo all over it. “You’re sure you’re going to win against Holly right?” “Yes... I foresaw it... she will die by my very own hands as long as her path does not change.”

“What do you intend to do now?” Cylux turned and walked towards Ivy while the Shadows stood at attention, “I’m off to pass Midnight’s judgment off. Inform me when Tobex has finished working on Vein. After I evaluate the Tribe and Hive enough, we will have a use for him.” “Who is Midnight sending you to get this time?” “Those that discovered us long ago and threaten our plans.”

Ivy shot a look of surprise at Cylux, “So soon?! Why would we want to pick a fight with Star and the others now?!”

“Because... they’re a threat that must be dealt with... they know about the Colony and should they decide to go against what we promised and alert the two groups of our plans, we’re going to have to fight a battle we can’t afford to fight right now. We still have much preparation to do before we can begin our war.”

“So shall we summon an army to defeat them?” a voice asked. Instantly, someone wearing the same robe as Cylux appeared. Cylux shook his head, “No... I will handle this myself Scorch.” Scorch looked at Cylux in surprise.

“But... there are hundreds of them sir! How can you take on an entire horde of light, dark, and shadow energy users!” “I can manage.”

Cylux turned again and began to walk back to the ledge. He stopped right at the edge of the cliff, “A couple hundred is nothing compared to all I have done for us to come this far... I will go to them in person, along with my Shadows here...”

“But-” Scorch started. He was silenced by Ivy, who had put one of her hands over his mouth, “You don’t know what Cylux is capable of...”

“Yes... the devastation that war brings is sickening... even though I will have to start one to end them all, it will be worth it and understandable. That clan got what it deserved in the end. I’m moving out now... after I deal with a little thing regarding Katherine, I will deal with them.”

Cylux jumped off the ledge and was followed by the six Shadows. Ivy stared at the sky, “Be safe.” “You care for him don’t you?” “Perhaps... long ago he was very different but that was a long time ago.”
