History

I can still hear the haunting sounds of them screaming as my brothers crunched upon their flesh and bones. It wasn't always this way though, at one point in time our tribe was a peaceful one. But then he came... Omega, the shaman of our village. He deemed it necessary that all men undergo a experiment in the name of our wolf god Sh'asmar. We mattered to the other villages at one point in time. We traded as far as the ocean to the east and the Dead Drop Mountain's of the west. I had a family at one point in time. I had friends amongst the villagers. But many of us lost those things upon the full moon. Our village was striken with grief upon the knowledge of what we had become and had done to our own families. I remember the screams of my wife as i tore out her throat with my new found strength. I lost everything to our shaman. He took everything from us. Our homes, our lives, our families. Everything was gone.

What that experiment had done to me may have been reversed had I left the village rather than going to the shaman's experiment. My wife pleaded that we run and become outcasts with our children but my pride got the best of me. I did it and paid the price for it. Maybe if I had stayed with the shaman I wouldn't have done my family harm. But the story of the half man half wolf just seemed like a fairy tale to me at the time. I can still remember the horror on my wife's face and the sense of fear that my sons face gave. As I ripped them all to shreds I could feel nothing but guilt at my lack of self control. I don't know why I couldn't control it. I also know that whatever you THINK you know about us is wrong. As Alpha of the Blood Pack I can tell you this without a second thought.

Silver doesn't hurt us at all. It tickles at best. As for the turning's, it isn't really a full moon only type thing. The first turning is, but after that, it happens every night. We feed off the despair found in the human heart, that is, AFTER we rip it out of their chests. As the pack surrounded the remaining humans I saw the same look my daughter had given after I had killed her mother and brother. Disappointment, Sadness, and understanding of what was about to happen. I snarled enraged at the woman who had this look upon her face and the pack froze before parting as I walked slowly towards the woman growling lowly.

That memory enraged me to the point that upon walking to her, I did the exact same thing I had done to my daughter. I shoved my claw into her chest tearing her heart out of her back as the blood gushed dripping from my claw as the heart continued to beat in rhythm as she gasped in agony. I ripped out her throat with my teeth as she went into shock. I crushed the heart and ripped off her head pulling out my arm as the blood dripped from the tips of my claws. I staggered past my pack and this gave them the permission to rip the others to shreds and swarm the bodies to eat.

I told my Beta that I was going to the village fountain to clean out my fur and he nodded as he looked after the rest of the pack. While rinsing out the blood I smelled death, I figured it was just the pack feasting until there was a scream to the north. My pack was in the southern district of the village so how could they possibly have moved past me without me noticing. I bounded towards the scream and say a man and woman in the middle of the road. He was kissing her neck but her face said otherwise.

"A Vampire in Wolf Creek..." I had said not a moment before he had looked up at me with crimson eyes. His fangs were stained with her blood as more vampires appeared and swarmed the body of the woman as she reached to me in pain as the main vampire dropped her to the dirt for his minions to feast upon. I had no choice but to pull back. One wolf was not enough to face a dozen vampires if not more. The main vampire spoke in a silky smooth monotone voice that almost any woman would fall for. "I am Count Dracula, and my vampires will be taking your village of Wolf Creek as our own."

I ran back to the pack and when we had returned the vampires were gone leaving nothing but the bloody corpse of the woman sitting in the dirt road. The main vampire's words rang in my head, "We will be taking your village of Wolf Creek." If he wanted my village he was in for a fight. This attack upon one of our villagers meant war. "Let the war of the Moon begin." I muttered as I sniffed around with the pack. We had to hunt down and rip these bastards to shreds before it would be safe to continue the monthly hunts.

What I didn't know was that we Werewolves were in for one HELL of a war with the vampires that would last for many, many years for our village of Wolf Creek...

~The first Alpha

"SEE! I told you it was real!" I shouted as I closed the journal. My friend Jake just shook his head. "I didn't believe it to be real but you've proven me wrong Night. I'm surprised though Night, who would have thought you'd find the journal of the first Alpha of Wolf Creek. I guess being the son of the current Alpha has it's perks after all." He walked upstairs and I followed him taking the journal with me as I looked back down into the darkness. "But what was it doing in my basement...?" I asked before closing the door and going with Jake to see what mom was making for breakfast this morning.
