The Gates of Avaelon

Melissa, a five year old human girl and a five year old Hi Fae boy, named Zakkaerion, from the world of Avaelon, become best friends. With the portals between the two worlds about to close, Zakkaerion leaves, promising to return when the portals reopen in seven years. upon returning, he finds that his friend is no longer there. It had been fourteen years since he had seen his friend, And Zakkaerion, was thrilled upon discovering that she was home, but as she was not longer a child, she could no longer see her Fae friend. This is an adult bedtime Fae tale. (Fairy-tale) I immensely enjoyed the story plot, which had several twists and turns! My only gripe is that each chapter seemed to be unbearably long! I would rather read a hundred chapter book, with six to ten pages per chapter than read a twenty-two chapter book with twenty - thirty page chapters! All in all, this was a great story line! NRF

Ellsmire

I'm not sure what to think of this story. Some of it seemed to drag with sentences that were unessential to the story line. Example: The storm roared around the house. The wind shook the windows and rattling the shutters, just as a torrent of rain slammed in to the house, lightening filled the sky. Or, Lightening lit the skies as the storm slammed into the house, shaking the windows and rattling the shutters! (this example is from my book: Rayah's hope) my advice is to edit, edit, edit! The more you cut, and rewrite the better the book. Over all I give you kudos for carrying off at least three if not four time periods, not an easy feat to accomplish! You had an excellent plot. I also liked your story line, all except the ending. How selfish is Ava? Is she just walking away to save her own skin, or will she be back to save her family? Who knows, but one can hope, can't they! NRF

Keep Your Promises

When Emma is hospitalized with terminal breast cancer, her sister, Scarlett, learns that her life is nothing but lies, and that that her best friend is really her worse enemy. Although this story needs to be edited, edited, and edited again to refine it, and remove repeated sentences and add missing words, it had a great plot and story line. Here are some things I would change: (1) in chapter 6 Emma says, "Do not involve the police." But in chapter 2: Emma said that the police had not closed Darcy's case. (Which is a contradiction.) (2) Also in chapter 6, you have: "I quickly my coat . . . (3) If she were still alive she would know be celebrating her seventeen birthday. (4) "I don't know what was about him that made me so shy." These mistakes among others are all from chapter 6. I have not pointed out any mistakes in other chapters, and only pointed these out as examples. You have an awesome plot and a great imagination. The Hunter Series: Penelope

This story is not my usual read, But I was hooked from the first sentence! Penelope goes from vampire killer to the most powerful witch of them all before she can hardly catch her breath. Now Penelope is charged with winning back her home land from an evil witch turned vampire . . . .! This story will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end! I have given this brilliant story 5* for story, plot, writing style and yes spelling and grammar, Why, because there's an off chance that like myself, the author Katie Reynolds is dyslexic. Thank you,

Due North

I tried to read this story half a dozen times, but just couldn't get past chapter one, not because it was not a good story, but only because the story line did not appeal to me and the things I like to read about. I wish you only the best, and hope your story goes far. I have given this book a three across the board, and would not even give a rating if it were not required, as I don't feel I can give it a fair rating without reading the book.NRF

The Wright Life

Call me a prude, but I have to be honest, I read the few chapters only, I could not get past all the smut, dedregation, and filthy language! Some people like that in a book, I don't. I think this story could stand alone without all the quote, unquote filth and sexual descriptions! Come on, tell me please, who actually talks like that in real life??? NRF

Hell Castle

This book's unusual story line is what enticed me to read this story of Rori. A half human, half demon girl must decide which of two worlds she belongs in. . . . . To me some of the too long paragraph need to be rewritten with quotation marks in the right place to show when characters are speaking. A new paragraph should be started whenever you switch speakers or thoughts. Also there are several run together words, such as herthoughts, isin, starteddrawing, etc. that needs to be corrected. Also The story did not end well and left readers hanging. I also did not like the fact that Rori cried all the way through the book which made her look like a crybaby and a weakling, instead of a strong willed person. All in all I liked this story and look forward to the next book! NRF
